Ground meat with peas
1 lb minced beef, turkey, veal or mutton
1 cup green peas (frozen are fine)
1 medium can crushed tomatoes
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
Salt to taste
34 tbsp oil
1 cup water
¼ cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
Heat oil and fry onions till golden.
Add ground meat and cook till dry. Lower heat and fry the meat for approximately 1 minute.
Add all the dry spices and the ginger and garlic pastes. Fry a further 1 minute.
Add tomatoes and cook till well blended.
Add water and peas.
Cover and simmer till peas are cooked.
Just before removing from heat, add coriander leaves.
