 1 lb cut French beans (frozen are fine)
 1 onion, chopped
 1 medium can crushed tomatoes
 ½ tsp ginger paste
 ½ tsp garlic paste
 ½ tsp cumin powder
 ½ tsp coriander powder
 ½ tsp turmeric powder
 ½ tsp red chili powder
 12 tbsp oil
 1 cup water
 Salt to taste

Heat oil and fry onion till lightly golden.

Add all the spices and cook for one minute over gentle heat.

Add tomatoes and cook till done and mushy.

Add beans, salt and water.

Simmer covered till beans are cooked but still crunchy.
